UB football grieves the life of respected former coach and quarterback

UB mourns the loss of Anthony “Tony” Policare III, a cherished former quarterback, coach and lifelong Bull. On April 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer, Policare departed this world at the age of 55. I enjoy connecting reporting with real communities, whether it is capturing the energy of a game, highlighting athlete experiences, or digging into the human angle of everyday moments.
